-         Revision (verbs and conjunctions)

-         Can/can’t for ability

 

1st Hour (Finishing 3A, 3B and doubts)

-         Listening 6a. 4. “What nationality is he?” Pag 31

o       Pre-teach “wear” and “hat”

o       He is American

-        Warm up.

o        SSS look at the photo and try to guess who is the person who has all those objects.

o        SS match photos and sentences.

o        SS make a sentence of each letter.

o        1.2 Fill the gaps.

-        Grammar focus (Repaso)

o        Elicit: They live in a flat. Do they live in a flat? ** Intentar hacer fichas.

o       Question words: Where, what, what languages? QASI

-        Extra: Play the “keyhole” (ojo de la cerradura)

-        Pag. 162 Find somebody who. (Photocopies)

 

2nd Hour (3C & 3D)

-        Warm up- Jumbled questions.

o       Write on the board (disordered):

§         Does Caroline live in Prague?

§         Where do Anna and Joseph live?

§         What languages do your friends speak?...

o       SSS order the sentences.

-        Activity Verbs.

o       Explanation of Charity show.

o       Answer the questions:

§         What’s the poster for?

§         When are the auctions?

-        SS match the words and the pictures.

o       Explain. “Can you juggle?

 

-        Presentation: can/can’t for ability.

o       SS cover the dialogue and look at the picture.

o       Explain Tony’s at the auction with Mark and Pat from the poster. Tony’s Pat’s son! She wants him to be in the show.

-        GRAMMAR FOCUS: Can/ can’t

o       SS complete the chart.

o       Check

o       Explain some things:

§         Can= Ability to do something

§         Never “to” after “can”.

§         The same for all persons.

§         We don’t need auxiliaries with “can”

§         We can use it for requests: e.g. Can I have a coffee?

-        Remember SSS the use of and/but/or/quite well

-        Extra: Find somebody who… Pag 163 TB
