First hour (5A)

Hi all,

I hope most of you will be reading this… I is not very good to spend a month without reading a word in English…

In this lesson we will see something that I guess all of you know from other years. The use od “for” and “since”. In order to check we are going to have a look at the text in page 66 which tell us the story of a Russian handball player. Do you find any new structure for you? If this is so, please bear it in mind till next Saturday or send me an email, Ok?

After that, do exercise 2a from the book by writing in a piece of paper why the numbers written there are important for the protagonist of the story.

Now, go on with exercise 2a and 2b.

When you finish those exercises go to GRAMMAR FOCUS and have a look at the whole text, then do the practice. In order to know more, here you are something that I have taken from a book.

We use them both with perfect tenses, but there are some differences:

I think you have no problems with your age, as the title says… or you have them…? Ok, jokes apart, go to page and match the words and the pictures, then do the test. (Look at the end of this page, because you have a Reading dealing with this).

Do you remember the use of the –ing? No? Then have a look at GRAMMAR FOCUS and try to find a different  between  the use of –ing/ to…

Though, at this level the use is rather easy. –ing for I’d like… and to+infinitive with I like …
